AINT I A WOMAN - PRODUCTION - the Music

Having a blast with these guys, getting ready for the April 3rd AINT I A WOMAN show!! Each of these wonderful musicians brings his own unique sensibility and sound to the set.. (from right to left) On Bass is Christian Crawford who despite his young age brings a wealth of musical experience playing both the electric and acoustic basses with precision and jazzy/funky fun.. On Sax is Thomas Lovett bringing years of creative, funky, soulful chops , a horn section all by himself.  Ras Abu Majied brings a strong Motherland flavor and consciousness that helps the music span the centuries. (Not pictured)  is Clifford Mills on drums who lays the  heartbeat and "cymbolic" textures that propells our musical machine. And alternating Guitar and piano I (GSwindell) give the chordal and melodic foundation setting the frequencies to align to the interstellar regions  of your heart soul & mind ... and beyond.

Coolest part about this group of musicians is that each could individually showcase and mesmerize any audience for the entire time all by himself but we all check our egos at the door and provide a unified musicbed for the vocalists to jump up and down on..... 

Now for the preshow, and musical interlude after intermission, all bets are off and we plan to jam like there's no tomorrow!!!!
