BLACK NATIVITY 2011

This year's show was very successful. We performed at the Muse Arts Warehouse this year and will return to a church venue next year.. tech aspects of the show (especially projection of graphics) were easier to infuse and control at the Muse, so the video (coming at ya soon) looks especially crisp, and choreography is featured prominently. We had a few significant hurdles to overcome with audio but did overcome them by the end of the run. While the entire cast did a super job, there were several special standout performances when you see the video you choose your own favorites!! The newest song for the show A Touch of Heaven really added a lot to the show and audiences left the theatre humming it every performance.

The dance aspect of the show was especially beautiful in the Muse Arts Warehouse venue as shown in the romantic duo with Candace Saunders & Darryl Davis You were Chosen sung by Tremayne Jackson and Zakiyah Buxton.

Also the integration of more of our Spitfire personell in this year's production was crucial to the success of this production.. Spitfire Leader Marquice L. Williams left his comfort zone of poetry and took on the challenge of singing lead on the crowd favorite .. Sweet Little Jesus Boy..

Special thanks to the awesome venue Muse Art Warehouse w/ Mark and JenHi Rand, all the performers , musicians, and parents of our young performers for all the hard work and dedication to make Black Nativity 2011 a great success
More to come..
