BLACK NATIVITY 2012
BLACK NATIVITY 2012
Performing Arts Collective of Savannah
Preparation is going great for our 3rd production of Black Nativity In 2010 we performed it at New Covenant Church, in 2011 at Muse Arts Warehouse , and this year we will be at Fresh Fire Evangelistic on Bull Street. Music & choreography are in place and we are still adding new dynamic voices to the production. Stage direction is handled by the dynamic Darowe McMillon, & Choreography by Murirel Miller.
I have adapted the arrangements even more, and even added a new exciting song in the style of Ladysmith Black Mombasa ( a South African Vocal Group) entitled "What Shall His Name Be Called?"

Attached here are snippets from nearly all the songs in Act 1 & Act 2, to be used primarily as a rehearsal tool for the cast, but also to let folks in general see what we are doing with the classic Langston Hughes material and traditional christmas songs.. Enjoy the excerpts and look for updates on how we are coming along..
